Destinations of the Future

Sacred Energy

Hello friend – it’s Miriam 👋🏻

Welcome to this week’s Ikigami Insider.

We often speak about the future as a place: something we move toward, plan for, hope to reach.
But what if the future isn’t a location…
What if it’s a frequency?
What if the most powerful destination you can reach is not a place in the world, but a state within?

This week, let’s talk about sacred energy.
Not just productivity. Not just focus. But the energy that feels true, clean, rooted, and rare.
The kind of energy that doesn't just help you get things done—
It helps you become who you were meant to be.

Intuition: Feel Before You Forecast

We’re trained to set goals, define outcomes, project timelines.
But what if before all that, you asked:
What kind of energy do I want to live in?

Because where you’re going isn’t just defined by your vision.
It’s defined by what fuels you.
And sacred energy doesn’t come from pressure or performance.
It comes from clarity, alignment, and deep permission.

Hack 1:
Before your next big decision, pause and ask:

  • Is this life-giving or life-leaking?

  • Does this pull me into presence or push me into proving?

"The future enters into us, in order to transform itself in us, long before it happens."

Rainer Maria Rilke

Intelligence: Energy is Data

We spend so much time tracking time.
But what if we tracked energy instead?

Energy doesn’t lie. It reveals.
It tells you what nourishes, what depletes, what’s meant for you—and what never was.

And your most sacred destinations won’t be found on maps.
They’ll be found in patterns. In intuition. In the wisdom of how you feel.

Hack 2:

  • Keep a three-day “energy journal.”

  • Track when you feel most clear, alive, focused, or safe.

  • Then ask: What do those moments have in common?

"Attention is the beginning of devotion."

Mary Oliver

Integrity: Make Space for Sacred Fuel

Sacred energy isn’t efficient.
It doesn’t hustle.
It moves like nature: cyclical, quiet, powerful.
It arrives when you make space—not when you make pressure.

And that’s the paradox:
The future isn’t created by force.
It’s created by what you protect.
By what you honor. By what you refuse to burn for applause.

Hack 3:
This week, protect one pocket of sacred energy.

  • Your mornings

  • Your creative hour

  • Your walk without your phone
Guard it like it’s holy—because it is.

"Guard your time fiercely. Be generous with your energy. And know the difference."

Reflection in Verse

The future isn’t waiting.
It’s already humming
in the quiet moments
you almost skip.

It lives
in the clear no,
the brave yes,
the breath before the next thing.

Don’t rush toward it.
Invite it in.

A Question for You

What kind of energy do you want your future to be made of?
And what’s one thing you can do this week to honor that?

I’d love to hear. Just hit reply.

With presence and purpose,
